From calcareous loess and sand soils, the 2019 Kugler Lagenreserve Alte Burgunder Selektion is a pure Pinot Blanc vinified in stainless steel. The wine opens with a pure, fresh and elegant, aromatic and slightly flinty nose of ripe fruits and refreshing terroir notes. Fermented to 13.5% alcohol plus nine grams of residual sugar, this is a lush and round demi-sec with clear, lush and elegant fruit, finely piquant acidity and a dense, aromatic and utterly pleasing finish with fine salinity.
